Justus Companies Sells Woodland Terrace Inspired Senior Living Portfolio
The Indianapolis-based Justus Companies announces the sale of their Woodland Terrace Senior Living portfolio. Comprised of three, Class A senior living communities, the Woodland Terraces are known for quality construction and operations offering world-class hospitality services and a full suite of lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living and memory care.
The Justus Companies planned, developed, built and operated these communities, all which opened in the last five years. Each of the three communities is located in a county bordering Indianapolis to the north, east and west in the areas of Carmel, New Palestine and Danville, respectively. The most recent community is located in Danville, Indiana, and includes 16 occupied cottages, 34 cottages under construction and a community building with 101 apartment homes featuring independent living, assisted living and memory care. The Justus Companies chose a senior living provider with sufficient experience, resources, and geographic presence from a large group of interested buyers. The decision to sell the Woodland Terrace portfolio is
consistent with the company’s future plans to reposition their portfolio to focus on active adult senior living, Class A multi-family and commercial property.
As a part of their strategy, Justus increases their presence in Kansas City, MO, announcing the acquisition of 51 Main, a Class A, multi-family community in one of the city’s most prestigious locations. This seven-story, luxury mixed-use development consists of 176 large, luxury apartments and 8,500 square feet of ground-level retail space. Future acquisitions and new developments are in the pipeline for the Justus Companies in the continued
